Why Use a Magnifier Instead of a Scope?

A magnifier gives you the best of both worlds: your red dot stays as your primary sight for most engagements, and you flip the magnifier up only when you need distance. A scope or LPVO locks you into magnified view — slower for close-quarters transitions.

The flip-to-side mount lets you switch between 1x and 3x in under a second. At gel ball effective range (20–35m), this covers virtually every scenario without carrying a second optic.
