Semi-Auto vs Full-Auto — Fire Modes Explained

Every semi-automatic gel blaster rifle at CyberTrigger also supports full-auto — you switch between modes with the fire selector. Here's when each mode matters:

  • Semi-auto — one trigger pull = one shot. Best for accuracy, ammo conservation, and competitive play where precision matters. DMR platforms like the HK417 and SR25 are typically run in semi-auto.
  • Full-auto — hold the trigger for continuous fire at 20 rounds per second (on 11.1V). Best for suppressive fire, CQB, and close-range engagements.

All CyberTrigger AEG rifles fire at ~330 FPS in both modes. Semi-auto doesn't reduce power — it gives you shot-by-shot control. Players running a marksman role in team games will want to practise semi-auto trigger discipline for best accuracy at 30–40m.

Best Semi-Auto Gel Blaster Rifles for Precision Play

If you prefer semi-auto over spray-and-pray, these platforms suit your style best:

Can all gel blaster rifles switch between semi and full-auto?

Yes — every CyberTrigger AEG rifle has a fire selector that switches between semi-automatic and full-auto modes. Some models also offer a 3-round burst option. The selector is on the receiver — flip it before or during play.

Is semi-auto better than full-auto for gel blasters?

It depends on play style. Semi-auto is better for accuracy and ammo conservation — one precise shot vs spraying 20 per second. For outdoor field games and marksman roles, semi-auto gives you an advantage at range. For CQB and close-range, full-auto can overwhelm opponents. Most players switch between both during a game.

Do semi-auto gel blasters use less battery?

Yes — semi-auto fires fewer shots per minute, so your 11.1V battery lasts longer per session. In full-auto at 20 RPS, you'll drain the battery faster and use more gel balls. A single battery charge typically lasts a full day of mixed semi/full-auto play.
