Every rifle in our range is AEG (Automatic Electric Gun) — battery-powered, consistent performance regardless of temperature, and the lowest maintenance option for gel blasters in Australia. Here's how to narrow down 79+ options:
- Pick your platform — M4/AR15 is the most popular with the widest parts and upgrade availability (V2 gearbox). HK416 offers a modern aesthetic with MLOK handguards (shares M4 internals). SIG MCX is compact and modular for CQB. AK uses the V3 gearbox — fewer aftermarket options in Australia but solid out of box.

We organise our E&C rifles into five performance tiers. All tiers fire at ~330 FPS and run 11.1V batteries (recommended for full trigger response and 20 RPS):

All tiers use standard 14mm CCW threading for muzzle devices, Picatinny top rails for optics, and fire standard 7.5mm gel balls. The same platform (e.g., M4) is available at multiple tiers — the difference is internal performance and receiver material.

Are gel blaster rifles legal in Australia?
Gel blaster rifles are legal in Queensland and South Australia for adults 18+. No licence or registration required in QLD. Other states (NSW, VIC, WA, TAS, ACT, NT) classify gel blasters as firearms — we cannot ship to those states. All CyberTrigger rifle orders require age verification at checkout.
What's the best gel blaster rifle for a beginner?
Our Value Line M4 ($329–$369). It outperforms budget $120–$180 community blasters significantly: 330 FPS vs 220, 30–40m range vs 15–20m, 20 RPS vs 13 on 11.1V, and metal externals (outer barrel, buffer tube, charging handle, trigger, bolt release) vs ABS plastic. Only the receiver is nylon — to save weight, not cost. The internal gearbox is the same full-metal unit used in our higher tiers.
How far and how fast does a gel blaster rifle shoot?
Our rifles fire at ~330 FPS out of the box with an effective range of 30–40 metres (some long-barrel DMR models sit around 280 FPS). Rate of fire is 20 rounds per second on an 11.1V battery. We can upgrade rifles to a maximum of 400 FPS through our custom upgrade service.
What's included in the box?
All tiers include the blaster + 1 magazine. Batteries, chargers and gel balls are sold separately — this lets you choose the right battery setup for your needs. Should I start with Value Line or go straight to Ultra Line?
Value Line if you're new — same FPS, same range, same gearbox internals, just lighter (nylon receiver). You lose nothing in performance. Ultra Line if you want the best trigger response (ETU MOSFET), full metal weight/feel, and plan to custom-build later (Ultra Line gets a 1hr labour discount on custom work). Upgrading a Value Line to Ultra-equivalent costs ~$200 in parts and labour — so if you know you want performance, buying Ultra directly is better value.
Which rifle platform has the best upgrade and parts availability?
The M4/AR15 platform (V2 gearbox) has the widest aftermarket — gearboxes, barrels, hop-ups, handguards, stocks, and external parts are all readily available. HK416 shares M4 internals but has proprietary handguard/receiver fitment. AK uses the V3 gearbox with slightly fewer upgrade options in Australia, but rock-solid reliability out of the box.
